Season opener in the French capital! Gently rolling and mostly runnable course. Lovely trails and small roads through lots of beautiful areas and little towns from Chateau de Rambouillet into the centre of Paris.
With Haakon as support (for the first time!) at 4 of the checkpoints, we had good control of food and fluid intake, the schedule and sun cream. I got picked for the kit check 2 times, but otherwise had pretty short and efficient stops.

A slightly spontaneous consolation entry since Arc of Attrition went up in smoke in January because of pneumonia, but it turned out to be a worthy replacement in slightly better weather! And while a much stronger women's field started in Chianti the same day (which I considered this year too), I am incredibly grateful to have had the magical experience of breaking the tape at Pond d'Iena in Paris that day.
