Who is Anne Mjelva?
Anne is from Røros, lives in Trondheim and runs between 90 and 140 kilometres a week. She is managing director of House of Femme, a clinic and training centre for women's health, and she has three children.
Her master's degree in Sports Performance Enhancement underpins both. It is the reason she can talk about the menstrual cycle, recovery and energy balance both as a professional and as an athlete. The year she won gold at the Norwegian Championships in trail ultra and won the 120 kilometres in Paris, she was running the clinic and fitting her training into a week built around three children.
How did running come to take up so much space?
The results didn't come from running alone. Her education and work have been about physical activity and health all along, and the foundation lies in many years of training of many kinds. Running has taken up more space in recent years because it is the simplest form of exercise in a busy everyday life. It also became motivating to see how far she could go within the limits of work and family. She has always loved sport and the outdoors, and likes to spend a lot of time outside.
In August 2026 she won EcoTrail Trondheim over 80 kilometres, ahead of every man in the field.
