Privacy and cookies
What information this site collects, where it is stored, and what rights you have. Explained in plain language.
The promise
This site collects as little as possible. You can read everything here without giving anything about yourself. If you send something through one of the two forms, the information is used to reply to you, and for nothing else. Processing follows the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Norwegian data protection law.
What information is collected
When you send an enquiry through the contact form
Your name, your email address, your company if you fill it in, what the enquiry is about, and your message. The form does not ask for a phone number. The basis for processing the information is that you have contacted us yourself and want a reply. It is used to reply to you and follow up that enquiry, not for anything else, and it is not shared with anyone. Once you have sent it, a receipt with what you wrote goes automatically to the address you gave, and a notification goes to Anne.
When you ask for information about partnership
The «Get more information about partnership» button on the Ultrarunner page opens a separate form that asks for only one thing: your email address. It is used so that Anne can send you information about partnership, and for nothing else. The basis is the consent you give by submitting after reading what the address will be used for. You can withdraw your consent at any time. See «Your rights» below.
The address is stored together with the other enquiries, marked as a request for information about partnership, so that Anne can see what you asked for. You automatically receive a receipt at the same address. The form uses the same robot check as the contact form, described below.
When you visit the site
No cookies are set until you have made a choice in the consent box. The site uses Google Analytics, but measurement stays switched off until you say yes. The script is loaded from Google when the page opens, and sets no cookie and sends no measurement until your consent is given. If you say yes, the visit is counted anonymously. The measurement shows which pages are read, not who reads them, and your IP address is anonymised. If you say no, or don't answer, nothing is measured.
Everything the page needs to display, that is the text, the images and the fonts it is set in, is loaded from the site itself. Apart from the Google script above, your browser contacts no other companies to draw a page here.
When you click through to Instagram
The images in «Follow Anne» on the front page are hosted on this site, not by Instagram. The page has no embedded Instagram view, so Instagram does not learn that you visited. If you click an image or the link to the profile, you go to instagram.com, and from then on Instagram's own terms and its processing of information about you apply.
Robot check on the forms
Both forms use a robot check from Cloudflare (Turnstile) to stop automatically sent spam. It only starts when you begin filling in the form, and runs in the background when you send it. Cloudflare then receives your IP address and some technical signals from the browser to decide whether you are a human. It sets no marketing cookie and does not track you across sites. The basis is the legitimate interest in keeping the form open without drowning in spam.
Images and other content
Images on the site are kept in the content archive behind the site. See «Security» below for what that means.
Where and how the information is stored
Enquiries from the forms
Enquiries from both forms are stored in a database at Neon, located in the EU. The database is operated by mollo, which delivers and operates the site on behalf of Anne Mjelva Health and Performance. Messages and addresses are deleted once they have been answered and there is no longer any reason to keep them. The receipts and notifications are sent through mollo's email provider, so the sender address you see is a mollo domain.
Hosting the site
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like all web services, the hosting platform processes technical information, including your IP address, briefly in order to deliver the page securely.
The browser's local storage
The choice you make in the consent box is remembered locally in your browser, so you don't have to answer again every time. It is stored only on your own device.
Cookies and consent
| Type | Purpose | Requires consent |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Makes the site work and remembers your consent choice | No (always on) |
| Analytics | Google Analytics counts anonymous visitor statistics | Yes (you have to switch it on) |
| Robot check | Runs when you fill in and send one of the forms | No (needed for the forms to work) |
You can change your choice at any time through the «Cookies» link at the bottom of the page.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the information stored about you
- have information that is wrong or incomplete corrected
- have your information deleted
- withdraw a consent you have given, at any time
- ask for processing to be restricted, or object to it
- receive your information in a machine-readable format
- complain to Datatilsynet (the Norwegian Data Protection Authority) if you believe your information is being processed wrongly
If you want to use your rights, send an email to the address at the bottom of the page. You will get a reply within 30 days.
Security
The information is stored with access control, and only those who need access to follow up your enquiry have it. Should a breach nevertheless occur that puts you at risk, Datatilsynet and you will be notified, as the regulations require.
Images are public. An image uploaded to the website can be fetched by anyone who knows its address. That also applies before the image is used on a page, and after it has been removed from it. We therefore never publish images that contain personal data or anything else that cannot stand being public.
Changes to this statement
This page is updated when something changes that matters to you, for example when a new provider is taken into use, or when the site gets a new form. Significant changes are clearly flagged on the website, and consent is collected again where required.
